The Norris Syrup Company is based in Louisiana State of U.S.A. Hobson Norris, together with his parents formed this company in 1924. Hobson was the oldest child in a family of 12, and lived with his parents at the time of this great discovery. A lifelong Louisiana resident, Hobson Norris developed and infused a simple syrup, with the help of his mother’s recipe, to come up with quintessential flavor that has captured the consumers since then. He came up with the Ribbon cane table syrup, which became the foundation of the Norris Syrup Company that has today grown to become a leader in this industry.
Cane Syrups manufactured by Norris’ company, are derived from Louisiana sugarcane plantations. Apparently, sugarcane being an integral plant in Louisiana’s culture and economy has made everything convenient in terms of production for this company. When sugarcane was first introduced in this state in 1751, nobody knew it would be one of the biggest contributors to the state’s economy.
Sugarcane is a subtropical and tropical plant, which reaches maturity in about ten months. The cane ranges between 4 and 12 feet in terms of height, depending on its type and maturity. The cane is harvested immediately it reaches its sweetest state of maturity. The Norris family has over the years, used this matured Louisiana sugarcane, to produce its amazing products. They also use Ribbon cane and other products to produce other type of syrups to match every client’s desires. For instance, our Norris’ Louisiana Ribbon Cane Syrup is made from Ribbon cane, a type of sugarcane previously grown as a commercial crop in U.S.A but is of less usage as per now. Ribbon cane is very alike to the typical sugar cane, and we have used it until today to brighten up your breakfast table in sweetening your cookery.
The Norris Syrup Company is a fourth generation owned and operated business; however, these generations have maintained the quality and pureness of the syrup produced. Since 1924, the Norris family has ensured production of natural and pure products, which they are proud to share with other families around the world. A homemade biscuit that has been served with our Louisiana cane syrup is at all times tantalizing. For many residents, a breakfast before a tough day’s job commences with a pancake or a flapjack, smothered with Louisiana cane syrup; and this has become like a tradition.
The company now can boast of various types of syrup products to its belts. These are Norris Louisiana Ribbon Cane Syrup, Norris Best Louisiana Syrup, Norris Louisiana Shrine Syrup, and Norris Maple Flavored Waffle Syrup. For many years now, syrup manufacturing has highly been practiced in Louisiana, and other states in the country. Many decades have passed ever since we ventured in this industry, but as far as our company is concerned, nothing has changed. Our products only arrive in the market when they have been tested, or been made to perfection.
